Una experiencia increíble, las mejores vistas de un hotel en Salento. Lugar tranquilo, agradable y muy acogedor. El restaurante merece mucho la pena, la comida muy buena. Let me add to the catalog of positive reviews for this wonderful resort. Five stars all the way - from the warm welcome to the closing day forest bath tour with Jhonny and the planting of baby palm trees. In this gorgeous location you will find mesmerizing views, outstanding food (at the well appointed breakfast or at an upscale dinner), kind staff, beautiful dogs, private trails into town, beautifully manicured grounds, and wonderful rooms. Make sure to rent one of the standalone private villas on the hill for the most serene experience. To stay here is to feel connected to the land and Colombian spirit. I can’t think of a better place to stay during your Salento visit. We easily arranged day trips out from the property and late night car rides back in. Kawa!  the picture of it alone gives me what we Dutch (actually Curacaolenos) call "heimwee" To get up in the morning and being presented with the view of those mountains with the upcoming sun on your skin to wake you up slowly and content with coffee at hand,.....Can't get enough of it. And the people are so sweet that you would think it's fake,...but its not. They work hard and effortless to "make it happen"... Mr.Oxford gives a surprisingly familiar touch to it all. The forever smiling Ladies are too good to be true, the breakfast is amazing as is diner with the tastiest beef you'll ever eat. Gourmet at its best! So what's not so good? Mhhhhh,..... I would like one big and one small pillow instead of 2 big ones.... As it is a "retreat" I would suggest to mention it can be noisy around the main building  because of people arriving or leaving and personnel communicating right next, under and sometimes even above you,....although, you get used to it if you stay somewhat longer, say 3 to 7 days. Choose your cabin or lodge wisely. Ours was "two under one roof" the cheapest, which forced me to tell the neighbours to keep it down a little after 10 pm. On the other hand if you're close to the main building you are also close to everything: friendly personnel, food, massage, jacuzzi, , a beautiful garden with two general porches and still an excellent view of the mountains, and very important: the short cut to Salento through the bush instead of the mainroad. People come and go so you see new faces all of the time, but you feel "at home" soon  as the 2 sweetest dogs on the premises are everybody"s friend. Bendiciones.

A magnificent place from which to explore Salento and the surrounding region. We were all blown away by the beautiful views, delicious food, comfortable rooms, and wonderful staff. We especially loved our walk in La Carbonera with Santi and José and our Forest Bath (provided free of charge) with the knowledgeable, kind gardener, Jhonny. Nous avons été enchantés de notre séjour au Kawa. L'endroit est sublime, le châlet luxueux niché en haut d'une colline est très calme, la vallée est très ouverte, luxuriante et verdoyante de beauté. Notre premier point de vue colombien est ancré à jamais dans nos rétine et notre cœur ! On y dors et dine divinement bien (mention 5 étoiles au ceviche au fruit de la passion. Il y a plusieurs vrai(e)s chefs dans cette cuisine 😍). Tous nos remerciements également à Luiz (vous êtes une crème), Juliano, Juliana, Albany et Yuliana ... vous avez rendu notre séjour très sympathique et  inoubliable 🙌🏻💖. This is the place to stay in Salento (or at least next to Salento with a small 5min walk through the jungle ;)) We really enjoyed our 4 days at this amazing mountain retreat. I would say it has the best possible view in Salento! The breakfast was amazing and the staff really friendly and helpful. Also, we had a little bit of bad luck with another accommodation and they really helped us to solve the issue in a good manner. If you want to stay in Salento and enjoy waking up in nature (and are not afraid of some bugs that can find a way into your room) this is the place to stay!
